The Lead Capture application can be used by either installing the Android application locally on your device or via a web browser through a URL.

Android App Installation

We recommend installing our Android App APK to allow for offline syncing.
    To install the Android app APK, on the browser the tablet, download the APK.
    Once the download is complete, click on the download confirmation notification or Go to My Files > Recent files > Click APK
    You might receive a popup notifying you to permit to install unknown apps, click 'Allow from this source', then click on Install.
If you are unable to find the APK file in recent files, then follow the below steps:
    Click Internal storage > Downloaded > APK.
    A popup will open notifying you to permit installing unknown apps. Click "Allow from this source", then click Install Exotec Application
    Click Allow access to My Files (for the app installation), Microsoft 365 (for file and CSV downloads), and Camera access (for badge scanning)
To check and update what permissions the app is currently using follow the steps below:
    Go to Settings and scroll down to Apps.
    Scroll down until you see the Lead Capture application, then click on the application.
    Click 'Permissions'. The currently allowed and not allowed permissions will be displayed.

Browser

    Open your browser such as Google Chrome/Safari/Microsoft Edge/Opera/Firefox.
    Log on to the URL
Permitting your browser to access your device's camera for badge scanning is essential. To change your browser settings follow the below steps:

iPhone

    Once logged onto the website, click on the 'Scan Badge' option. For the first scan, you will be prompted to allow Camera access on your iPhone. Click 'Allow' on the prompt then click 'Allow [URL] to use your camera' Note: once you leave the website the permissions for the camera may reset and you'll have to allow it again.
    Go into your phone settings, scroll to the bottom to find apps, and look for the browser app you are planning to use
    Click on the app to see the app's permissions and settings
    Allow your browser to access the camera of your device

Android

    Go into your phone settings, find your apps, and look for the browser app you are planning to use
    Click on the app permissions or privacy settings
    Allow camera permissions for the app
Note: There might be minor variations in the settings and permissions options in different smartphone/Tablet brands and models.
